Adams Trumpets: Brand History and Innovations

Adams is a family company, with several generations sharing the common respect for tradition and devotion to their craft.  The company has always aimed to create reliable musical instruments and it continues to do so today. Everything began with André Adams's dream of creating the best musical instruments. As the man working in the region renowned for its wind music, he set a high standard to his goal.

André Adams started his career by repairing musical instruments. He learned this craft and refined the necessary skills in Brussels and Nauheim. After successfully completing his studies, Adams began his small business specializing in instruments repair.  The shed at his parents' house served as his workshop.

While repairing instruments, Adams also wondered whether he could sell them. Adams' customers shared the opinion that the place where musicians can repair their instruments should also offer the opportunity to buy them.  This thought led Adams to the idea of creating Muziekcentrale Adams in 1970.

It took several decades for Adams's idea to transform into a prominent international business highly valued and respected by the professional musicians, leading orchestra players, and music associations. In Limburg, Adams also established Adams Music Centre, which sold wind and percussion instruments, and became known for having the largest repair workshops in Europe. The company's craftsmen regularly enrich their knowledge of how to repair woodwind and brass instruments by learning from the best instrument makers.

Adams has never underestimated research and development, and their significant role in future success. Without these two aspects, it would be impossible to meet the needs of contemporary trumpeters and other musicians. These days, artists pay more attention to how their instruments sound and how they are handled. They show greater interest in easy and comfortable playability and that’s why Adams company does its best to enhance playing experience. They provide professional support for trumpeters and other musicians, as well as offer various customization options. The company pays great attention to instrument modifications, resulting in their better response and sound.
