The KGUmusic Obsidian+ is a custom-level Bb trumpet designed and assembled by KGUmusic for players who want a focused sound, strong projection, and fast response.

Expanded Use of Nickel for Better Focus

The updated Obsidian+ features more nickel components than previous versions. Nickel tubing is now used on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd valve slides. This improves focus, resonance, and tonal density, supporting the dark and centered character of the Obsidian.

140 mm Nickel Alloy Bell and Reliable Valve Block

The trumpet is built with a 140 mm two-piece Nickel Alloy bell, providing clear projection and a strong core to the sound.
At its center is a Carol Brass valve block with a Medium-Large bore, offering smooth valve action, stable airflow, and even response in all registers.

Raw Brass Trumpet for Maximum Resonance

This version of the Obsidian is supplied without lacquer or coating. The raw brass finish allows the instrument to vibrate freely, increasing openness, response, and natural resonance. Over time, the horn will develop a natural patina unique to each player.
