I don’t know who will read this or even if it will be read. I am stuck here in Athens Greece and I say stuck because no one I know listens music that was created by All of these People that while they were performing they literally breathed Fire. These People, these charismatic Musicians are a gift to all of us and all the future Generations. They were more than Musicians, they were Magicians, they were so Beautiful and warm hearted that their life shines our path through out All of our Life. I don’t know to whom I am speaking to but I just want to say as a Greek person that the strenght(mind-soul-emotion) that I have acquired through the music of all of this Musicians and the decades that I have listened to Louis Armstrongs music, his distinctive trumpet and warm, humble and Fatherly tone of voice has offered me in one word, Survival and accompaniment in my Life. I remember listening to his songs since the age of ten. I didn’t want to listen to no one around me utter their bullshit words and meanings. I just craved and wanted to hear Louis Armstrong speak inside my heart and mind. That is Louis Armstrong…a Human, a Musician, a Father that has the Ability through out the Ages to remain Inextricable for everyone that lives during his Lifetime and for anyone that will be born into this Earth. He didn’t just play the trumpet, He cultivated a whole Era and many more to come. His Music for me is a big warm hug and a peaceful and sweet nights sleep. His Music is a certainty of Peace, Love, and Tenderness. Thank you Louis Armstrong for keeping me strong all this years so I can withstand all this people here in Athens that listen to bouzoukia and drink countless bottles of vodka and then behave as they are the most unique species on the planet 🌎.
