Description from Tenormadness where it was acquired a couple of years ago:
The 120,xxx through 140,xxx Mark VI tenors really have their own thing going on compared to other serial ranges. They are BIG sounding, with an ability to play aggressively or sweetly depending on what you want to do.
This one has original lacquer that is 85% present. The neck has the matching serial number and has never been pulled down. It has a patch where there was a pickup, but it is barely visible and was done with incredible precision. It's one of the best jobs we've seen. It was overhauled not too long ago and has seen very little playing time. The pads have a LOT of life left in them and the mechanical condition is great. Having just been PC'd through the shop, we can honestly say that if you want a SOLID playing Mark VI that is a really great player then you can't go wrong with this sax.
